Almost 5 years ago, Parker was ripped away from me in Odessa, TX by Judge Denn Whalen. That was on a hot Monday in August, 2013. That Friday, was my regularly scheduled visitation (because the court sayd I was a “visitor”).
I packed up all of the kids’ bags that Friday and drove to San Antonio to get them for my weekend. I was never so scared and lost, pulling up to the Grand Hyatt in downtown San Antonio.
I repeated that trip over 150 times over the coming years, moved into to Ector County jail for a couple of months, courtesy of Judge James Rex, rescued Blaine from Nix Hospital and now I’m bringing Hayden home to Odessa 100% without a fight.
It could have been this easy from the beginning. The family court system in Texas is broken. 50/50 parenting time with zero forced child support should be the initial default in all divorces. The current system encourages a dependency class and makes having babies a career choice. This has to change and I intend to continue this fight.
This fight continues with the epic loss of re-election of the deadbeat Texas AG Ken Paxton, who is my own personal Grinch that stole my bank account right before Christmas. Stay tuned to here as I’ll be releasing more details of Ken’s demise.
