CHAPTER 1:

part 1

"What world have you left for your children?"

In the street:

    Mr. Queen was walking fast.

So quickly that he missed to be shot by a bus while crossing the street, leaving the Metro; the n°374 with green and white stripes like all the buses of the city.
It was 7:57 a. m., the day was going to be hot.
He was entering the pedestrian street when it started to rain. He accelerated the pace even more. He made a face and looked at the ground because of the rain. People were taking refuge under a porch or in a shop waiting for the rain to end.
Mr. Queen hadn't noticed anything, he lifted his head up when he heard screams from the first panic-stricken people.
"Blood!" Oh! Oh, my God!! It's blood!!! "cried a woman who watched her long white dress stain herself with red.
Mr. Queen stopped and stretched out his arms, palm towards the sky without clouds. It was raining harder and harder. He examined his hands, they were covered with raindrops of light red rain, rather pink indeed... The liquid looked viscous and sticky, but it wasn't blood. An idea crossed his mind. He smiled.
