Ok, so it's been suggested we need to crowdsource a novel. What we need firstly are some locations, timelines and some main characters so if you've any suggestions please put them in comments. If you have any old pages or paragraphs or just a few words you've jotted down then please post them. I've opened a new tag here with #novelcrowd so if you use this as a tag, we can all share and see each other's ideas and work and then upvote so we can all look after each other. Don't worry about how random the pieces are, it will be fun tieing them all together.
Here's something else I once jotted down. Please join in. Let's have the most people ever on stage to receive the Booker Prize!
Parked by the side of the road in a deserted industrial estate and gazing emptily into a night, blurred by reflections of rain and a windscreen misted with a light film of cigarette smoke. Jason sighed wearily. He reached for the styrofoam cup of tepid service station coffee on the dashboard of his little white van, which was looking as weary and unkempt as Jason after 30 hours on the road. A hint of a grimace appeared as he finished his convenient beverage and he threw the cup into the footwell of the passenger seat along with the other discarded evidence of his days on the road.
Despite the time approaching 1 am, there was no still calm of the wintery night just a white noise of engine idling, incessant rain irregularly splattering on the roof and the heater blowing much needed warm air into his expressionless face. Reaching up to flick on the interior light, his watery green eyes stared back at him through the rearview mirror, and he held their gaze whilst he waited for a thought to punctuate his mind.
"Just another 57 hours, and I’ll be in the air."
A gentle but tired smile eased across his face and he looked over to his mobile, sat atop an assortment of paperwork, route maps and receipts, subconsciously daring it to ring. Still 4 hours from home, it was time for some much-needed rest. He switched off the engine, locked the doors and reclined his seat. Pushing an old yellowing pillow between his head and the side window, he was still smiling as his eyes eagerly closed.
Just for reference; in the previous post you described the street Jason was on as ''the street of 1930's, three storey terraces'' - is the whole story set in the 1930's or were the houses built in 1930's?
(I shall contribute to the novel soon, too; I already got another person (@Jibspark) interested aswell ;))

I meant the houses were built in the 30s...so the present time of the story could be anytime on

What does writ mean? Here in my country is summer so expect a heated climate. I wish it's snowing here. By the way I found out the earning of this post is 87 so I voted to reach 1$. Hehe. Thanks to me. Haha joke. I am your good friend. Nevermind.

hahah you're a superstar :-) Writ is the wrong past tense for written or wrote....it's me deliberately making the tense wrong. Often children and new English learners may say 'I writ this down' instead of 'I wrote this down'
Why not work hard on Steemit and save up to go to South Korea next year, Cebu Pacific Fly there and then you can experience snow! In England this week there has been a lot of snow but its almost melted now. Still very cold though. I am missing Thailand but wont be going back until April :-(

If sbd rises, I'll go to Korea with my family. Very nice suggestion. If it'll rise more, I'll come in England so I can afford the country. hahaa. Ohh you love Thailand very much huh. Why not Philippines? bwahaha. Have you been in South Korea? How about in North?
