Nils Frahm: All Melody
Nils Frahm has been a favorite of mine for a few years now. I got to see him rattle stained glass windows in this big, old, beautiful church in New York with bass when I first listened. The careful layering of each song is really something to be amazed by. He has built his own piano, hit it with hammers and toilet brushes, and adds some very intense electronic experimentations to pair with it. He is truly a gifted composer.
He released a new album, All Melody, this past week and it has been making me so happy to see where he is at this point. Many of his albums have drastically different feels to them. All Melody has found a way to combine all his techniques and moods into one mastered version.
This one off his album, Screws, is my favorite pure piano composition of his.
Really nice! Very soothing - Thanks for sharing
