Facebook's parent company Meta has enabled a group of U.S. manufacturers to display non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on their profiles.
Meta has launched digital collectible support on Facebook and has only begun a slow rollout with select manufacturers in the U.S. and has already reported, citing a spokesman for the TechCrunch company. News of the launch was shared by Meter Product Manager Navdeep Singh on Thursday along with several screenshots.
In addition, selected creators will be able to link their crypto wallets to their Facebook profiles and convert their NFTs into posts to share on their wall or elsewhere, just as they would any other post.
In May, Zuckerberg announced that the company was starting to test digital collectibles on Instagram so that manufacturers and collectors could display their NFT on their profiles. On this particular platform, minified NFTs in Ethereum (ETH) and Polygon (MATIC) blockchains were supported at launch, with Solana (SOL) and Flow (Flow) "coming soon."
