Would've ventured to 3D works long ago if it wasn't for the high system requirements my laptop couldn't accept. Not a bad outcome at all. I would even consider the output a personal "style" if you didn't mention it being a practice.

You'd be amazed at what a laptop can do these days... In 1998, you needed thousands of dollars worth of gear... now I do most everything on a 5 year old Macbook Pro. Doesn't matter if it's Mac/PC btw -- not trying to start that war... There's great software on both. A free piece of software (haven't used it- but I hear great things) is Blender.... it's free, so you can see if it will work on your laptop- and there's no risk of wasting $ on something you can't use, because it's free.
