Hello to all dear friends.
Welcome back to my blog.

Today I share a watercolor painting that has light as its main subject.

As I have already specified in other posts, the watercolor technique is the most luminous of pictorial techniques.

It is also the most environmentally sustainable pictorial technique, because the materials that are used are all natural: paper, colors with pigments linked together by Arabic gum, a very rare natural binder produced in Sudan.

It is superfluous to add that the dilution of colors is achieved with water.

It is also the technique that travelling artists can bring easily, even in places with difficult commutes.

In my watercolor I wanted to enhance the quality of the light, and I left many areas free of colors.

White walls and streets that shine with light given by the white of the sheet of paper,

The subject is a glimpse of a sea country that we can often see on the islands of the Mediterranean, in Italy or in Greece.

My goal was to enhance the colors of other subjects, human figures, boats and doors, putting them at odds with the white of the rest of the landscape.

I tried to convey the sensations of a vivid and warm sunny day.

I also add some photographs and a watercolor that show the beauty of white in seaside houses.

Luci di mare

Ciao a tutti cari amici.
Ben tornati sul mio blog.

Oggi condivido un dipinto ad acquarello che ha come soggetto principale la luce.

Come ho già specificato in altri post, la tecnica dell'acquarello è la più luminosa delle tecniche pittoriche.

E' anche la tecnica pittorica più ecosostenibile, perchè i materiali che si utilizzano sono tutti naturali: carta, colori con pigmenti legati tra loro dalla gomma arabica, un legante naturale molto raro prodotto nel Sudan.

E' superfluo aggiungere che la diluizione dei colori si ottiene con l'acqua.

Inoltre è la tecnica che gli artisti viaggiatori possono portare facilmente, anche in posti con difficili spostamenti.

Nel mio acquarello ho voluto esaltare la qualità della luce, ed ho lasciato molte zone libere dai colori.

Pareti bianche e strade che brillano di luce data dal bianco del foglio di carta,

Il soggetto è uno scorcio di un paese di mare che spesso possiamo vedere sulle isole del mediterraneo, in Italia o in Grecia.

Il mio obiettivo è stato quello di esaltare i colori degli altri soggetti, figure umane, barche e porte, mettendoli in contrasto con il bianco del resto del paesaggio.

Ho cercato di trasmettere le sensazioni di una giornate di sole vivida e calda.

Aggiungo anche alcune fotografie dove si evince la bellezza del bianco nelle case di mare.
