[CR] One Tree Home

I Call This 'One Tree Home' ..

Because it only has one lonesome tree standing tall and firm in the yard. When I was growing up, I was raised in a house very similar to this one. Although we had more than one tree growing in the yard, I remember the one very fondly. It was a tall proud tree. One that gave me an abundance of leaves to play in, one that gave me shade to rest in, and one that grew right along with me. I remember her and she still stands today, long after we are all grown and have moved away. This pen and ink piece is in dedication to her.

For This Piece ..

I used a small piece of Canson 140lb watercolor paper, a #2 pencil, an ultra fine tip Sharpie, and some imagination.

Thank You very much @shibasaki! I also appreciate the recognition by you and the curation team.

Ohhh, I like this very much! Very much like I came across it in the middle of a storybook... I could always spend hours immersed in my books and stare at the illustrations, making up my own stories or visualising the story taking place around the pictures! This just brought me back to my childhood days... :)

This is why I drew it, so this makes me very very happy that it took you back! I may have to come up with a story for this one, since you and @scrawly mentioned it :-D.

Oooohhh, look forward to that! :)

I like how you drew this house with a tree. It looks like a storybook illustration :).

Hmmm... That is what I was thinking. When drawing, the tree got a little tall and started to bend away from the house. This made it, in my eyes, a little more illustration like. Thanks @scrawly!

very nice and lovely drawing

Thanks @adelepazani! Thank you for the support!

This one looks so moody and yet intimate, Brad :) I love how you captured the house with the single tree at the front... It looks almost like an illustration for a story, a strange and wonderful story about a house where very interesting people lived in :)

With all this talk of a story behind this illustration like drawing, maybe I should be drumming one up. Hmmmm. A story series like you so creatively pull off like all the time. Thanks for the compliments and self esteem boost!
