[CR] My rendition of Taal Volcano

in ntopaz •  5 years ago  (edited)

ntopaz-image-0I had a bit of free time today to re-discover my sketching skills. With my mechanical pencil, I wanted to create a rendition of one of the famous tourist spots in the Philippines, the Taal volcano. Even though I only visited this place once, my memory about it is still clear enough for me to visualize it in a an art. In addition, I also googled some images of it to help me on some of the details.

In my rendition, I wanted to frame the Taal volcano with a tree and shrubs around it. Although this view is quite fictional, I recalled that there is a similar view like this one when viewed along the road. I just simplified the scene to make it look pleasing. I just wished that I could re-visit the same spot and create a sketch that will show exactly how this scene looks like.

Anyway, this is my impression of the Taal Volcano. If you wish to learn more about this place, feel free to check it out here.

Cheers!

It is so calm and peaceful! I feel I am in the middle of this. So realistic! And what is this kind of mood? It is like in fairytale. You drew your own place as a treasure. Good painting. Wanna see more ~~

Thanks a lot for your feedback @trueimagine, your comment means a lot :)

There's a certain angle where the foreground is shrubberies... another is a vineyard.
Great drawing... perhaps a longer content or a few unfinished shots included would be nice next time? we upvote quality post with 150 words minimum. With your art, curation groups can notice your works. Cheers!
