This is the first collage artwork from the Portraits of Nature series, created again with my stained glass technique. Also my favourite one as it is the most true to the vision i had when i decided to make this series. It is funny and ironic when you start a series your first artwork to be the best,lol. It happened also with Greek Heroes and it was a constant struggle to try and make a collage as accurate in idea and execution as the first one.
I used a set of three photos as material to make the pieces. Waves for the hair which fitted perfectly with her rich mane, a desert landscape for the skin and my favourite butterflies pattern which set the tone for the whole series. I also made the decision to keep the background white and simple.

I like how you have kept the background white for this one, George :) It really brings her to attention ! The warm, desert colours of her skin tone is tempered well with her beautiful bluish locks.... Very nice! And that butterflies outfit is really pretty ! I can see it being able to carry a tone for the entire series well :)
