Hello to all art lovers! This Friday I finally go on vacation, I know that this information is irrelevant but I am happy, finally I can resume my pending illustrations to finish !!! ^ _ ^.
In is the second guide on the perspective that I am giving my students, in the previous guide I explained how to apply it to our drawing with more than one vanishing point, as it was an explanation of the essential perspective I did it with solid cubic shapes , this time it is about how to apply the same methods to the human figure, as in the face or in full body, and thus enrich the characters of our drawings giving them a much more striking and dynamic appearance, making them look much better than what they imagined, that's the magic of knowing how to use perspective ^ _ ^
Pencil sketch of my guide
The Eye Level
To consider at what level the eyes will be located, at the moment of starting the drawing, it is the most important at the time of wanting to apply the perspective to any character, in this example I decided to locate the level of the eyes in the crotch area which would be The exact half of the body of this female figure, when positioning the level of the eyes there indicates that it is the horizon and that is where the vanishing point is allowed so that both the upper part of your feet and below the face are visible.
Perspective with two vanishing points in the body
By applying a second vanishing point every drawing becomes more interesting, especially if it is the human figure, because that is how it is possible to correctly represent a character from a 3/4 angle, to achieve this it is with the method of cubes, as the name implies, is to draw the perspective of our character with cubes, after deciding on which of the faces of the cube will be the front view and the profile of our figure, we proceed to draw our character inside these cubes.
Perspective on a face with two vanishing points
Perspective on a face with three vanishing points
If with two vanishing points the perspective of the face improves, by placing a third the view of the image of the portrait improves much more, managing to be more striking showing a view from a more interesting angle.
Perspective with three vanishing points in the body
By applying the three vanishing points to the entire body of a figure, it will force the perspective of the figure, resulting in a drawing in foreshortening, providing the characteristic of showing the illusion of length and depth to the figure.
