Beach Photography: Where is My Footprint?

This photo is my Second Entry for @ntopaz's latest contest, the theme is: BEACH PHOTOGRAPHY.

I'm sure everyone plays this before: stand at the edge of the beach, waiting for the wave to wash up to your feet then move away to see your own footprint imprinted for a brief moment, before the next wave comes crushes and wash away the evidence that you were there before.

This is the evidence you ever needed. Just like it was embossed on a rock, forever stay in that moment, for you to reminisce on that very moment you were there. Fun isn't it!

This was taken in one of the Penang Beach a few years back. A very good memory to look back at.

        I think my favourite part of this process is when the sea washes away the print and leaves a clear surface. I find it so symbolic and soothing in a way:)

                    I miss being close to the ocean. When I lived in Indonesia, I could visit often. Now that I am back in the US, I am far from the ocean. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and photos.

                              Penang Beach quite dirty. Remember to wear sandals and not walk in barefoot as nails may unseen under the sands. I hope for a cleaner beach but humans contribute more rubbish instead of cleaning it.
