Pen Drawing Of Lionel Messi

This work is a frestyle drawing therefore I tried to express myself using three major colors - blue, black and red. The model I used is Lionel Messi. He is arguably the greatest footballer of all time.

He is a left footed player with tremendous skills. He has won the Mens Best footballer of the year for 5 times along with Christiano Ronaldo.

One thing I love about him is that he is a cool gentle man that doesn't talk a lot but does a lot on the pitch.

Development Process

Step 1 - I sketched out my model with blue pen.

Step 2 - I focused on his hair using blue, black and red ball pen.After that, I started working on his face using vertical strokes. At this stage, only eyes and right ear have been completed.

Step 3 - I completed other parts of his face especially his beards. I added tones and values to make the work look real.

Step 4 - I compled the work by working on his neck and shirt.
