My new artwork: the woman and her home

in ntopaz •  6 years ago  (edited)

Yesterday was a busy but nice day for me!

Thanks the warm weather I enjoyed to stay out for a long walk to break my work and I felt myself in a awesome mood and full of energy! In the morning I started to paint a new piece that I finished in the late afternoon.

The subject is similar to the previous one: a woman with a yellow dress on a blue roof. This time I added a house on the background, an house with the same texture of the dress of the woman. I love how the shade of yellow I chose works with that shades of blue and the white leaves help to focus the attention on these 2 colors. For the face, I just added some shadows to represent the shapes of the eyes and nose. To paint this one, I use my favorite tecniques: oil colors on paper (A4 size, 200 gr paper).

Now it's drying, but it will be ready in the late afternon, so I could give it some coats of protective varnish. ^_^

I hope you like it!

See ya soon

Thanks so much ^_^

I love this! The simplicity and the colors. It is beautiful.

Many thanks, Melinda ^_^

Very nice work. I like that blue with gold and the white plants. Best wishes<3

Warm hugs from Italy, dear @yoganarchista ^_^
