- China and France acceded in 1992
- North Korea withdrew in 2003
The treaty recognizes the US, UK, France, Russia and China as nuclear powers (5 permanent members of the UN Security Council).
3 Nations, who also possess nuclear weapons: India, Pakistan and Israel have never signed the treaty

Well these countries would be fearful if they didn't have their little nukes at disposal.
They make sure the Non-Proliferation treaty is signed so no one else gets nuclear weapons but it is fine and jolly if they have them and use them to make countries fearful of them.

The UN can't enforce shit there is no reason for this treaty. The League of Nations banned war in the 20s and guess what we still went to war aka WW2. Plus the UN Ambassador for USA can't sign treaties that is the senate's job it is in the Constitution.
