We Do Not Intend To Sign, Ratify or EVER Become Party To It.

The Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty

  • July 1st, 1968 - Tabled for signatories
  • By 2015, 190 States have become signatories
  • The NPT remains the most widely subscribed to arms control treaty in history
  • China and France acceded in 1992
  • North Korea withdrew in 2003

The treaty recognizes the US, UK, France, Russia and China as nuclear powers (5 permanent members of the UN Security Council).

3 Nations, who also possess nuclear weapons: India, Pakistan and Israel have never signed the treaty

Global Weapons Exporters

All three nations are major weapons exporters world wide and key suppliers to authoritative regimes such as Saudi Arabia's and its growing military stockpiles.

Non-Proliferation

While the G20 countries would like to have us believe that they are proud and staunch signatories of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty -

What about the proliferation of conventional weapons worldwide?

The United States continues to make blockbuster deals with it's Middle East partners and proxies and shows no sign of slowing down.

  • $100-300 Billion to Saudi Arabia
  • $14 Billion to Qatar (new)
  • $30 Billion to Israel ($3 billion annually)

Well these countries would be fearful if they didn't have their little nukes at disposal.
They make sure the Non-Proliferation treaty is signed so no one else gets nuclear weapons but it is fine and jolly if they have them and use them to make countries fearful of them.

DELETED

Nailed it.

Great compilation of info. Many rich Western countries have a large group of arms sellers within their governments - all linked to these mega-corps. It's all quite toxic.

easy maths:
war = profit
no war = no profit
sooo

Independence Day! Great movie :)

Very true, war is the best way to get an economy out of a recession/depression. Always has been!

If we could just destroy all nuclear weapons and weapons of mass destruction the world would not only be a safer place, but we would worry a lot less and learn to live with each other instead of trying to destroy each other.

Looks like they want WW3 to reset money and start all this shit again.

wow, thanks for informations and news :D

The UN can't enforce shit there is no reason for this treaty. The League of Nations banned war in the 20s and guess what we still went to war aka WW2. Plus the UN Ambassador for USA can't sign treaties that is the senate's job it is in the Constitution.

It's really a scary weapon. When one knows how much the superpower holds. I will follow you because you are good at writing and I like your blog. Good job.

Brilliant article, i don't think nukes will ever go completely, its a club every world power wants admittance to, the members take themselves seriously and if you aren't in it they don't take you seriously, i'd argue they are here to stay.

we are setting ourselves up to more war , maybe each one of us should stand up to this.

Why we have nuclear weapon, OMG what happen in this world
