    Great question. Intuitively I believe users will downvote nsfw content because they realize it'll inhibit Steemit from reaching a mainstream audience, which will inhibit the return on investment of their steem power.

      Yes, this will be quite important to get ironed out asap. So far, I'm impressed with the quality of what I see here and is DAMN refreshing when compared to what flows into my eyes via FB.
