Neuro lace
Hello Bloggers,
Neuro lace started off as a small start-up company with the idea of placing a computer chip deep into a living persons brain back in 2016. This computer chip could then download and upload data from the internet and send this data to and from the persons brain. So, this chip is effectively acting as an interface between the biological tissue of the brain and the digital world.
However, this idea needed funding in order to get off the ground. It got just that, a huge amount of funding up to $100 million dollars came from an unknown investor who later turned out to be Elon Musk. In July 2019 neuro lace was presented and live streamed to the world, no person is yet fitted with the device this was just an update to show their progress.
I have watched many YouTube interviews featuring Elon Musk. When talking about the Neuro lace Elon always makes the augment that yes our brains can process a huge amount of data in only a matter of seconds but our human brains bandwidth is very small. What that means is our natural sensors (eyes, nose, ears, touch, taste) are always taking in huge amounts of data about the outside environment. All of that data is process very quickly so that we can make sense of it all, for most of this time you are doing it subconsciously for example you don’t have to remember to tell your heart to beat or for your digestive system to process food it just happens subconsciously.
The problem comes when you want to learn new knowledge such as reading an encyclopedia. A huge book full of knowledge and world facts. If you had time in your day and were able to read the whole book you would probably retain only 20% of what you have read. You would have to read it about 3x to fully retain all of the knowledge and understand it.
Enter the Neuro lace. From what I understand this computer chip has very fine wires which sit parallel to the neurones of the brain. These fine wires of the Neuro lace are then able to communicate with the neurones using electrical impulse and send data across therefore opening up the bandwidth and enabling huge amounts of data transfer. The encyclopedia could then be downloaded and send across to the neurones and then sent directly to the hippocampus (The part of the brain that records memory).
It must be stressed that this technology is still only in its early infancy stage and I personal would not like to be fitted with the Neuro lace until at least 100,000 other people have used it without any complications or incidence.
Now I’m sure that everybody reading this blog has had some sort of email found in their spam box from a person claiming that they want to give you $1 million dollars. If you are foolish enough to go for it you will find the next day that your bank account has been emptied out.
Basically, anything that is digital is hackable or open to scammers. Like all technology if it is in the hands of good people it will do good things, in the hands of bad people it will do bad things.
Now imagine a hacker or scammer was able to get access to your own nuro lace. They will now basically have access to your own brain?? This is really scary stuff and no doubt they are sick twisted people out there who would use this technology to manipulate and control other people to get what they want.
How cant this be stopped? Either have the most up to date firewall at all times or walk around with a tin foil hat on your head?? Who knows?
And although this technology all seems a bit odd and controversial right now im guessing that the idea of shining laser's into your eyes to improve your eyesight 30 years ago would have sounded totally crazy. I myself have had corrective lasik and i now have 20/20 vision.
