Weight gain and reduction has become one of the challenges in our contemporary society today.. Many attributions has been made towards what really works best but to my knowledge in nutrition, there isn't 'one best' method to reduce weight because it requires series of activities to achieve the desired results.......

Let take a look at our weight...

Weight gain has being portioned to certain ranges which will help one to know where he or she belongs and whether to gain, maintain or reduce ...

BMI<18kg= Underweight
BMI>18 but <25kg= normal weight.
BMI>25 but <30kg= overweight.
BMI>30 but <35kg= Obese
BMI>35kg will now be portion into grades of Obesity.

BMI=weight÷height^2. .

At what weight do I need to reduce
One needs to reduce in weight when his or her BMI >25kg per body weight. Note, BMI >30 does not always mean you are overweight, some people have big muscles which increases their weight which intend increase their BMI when calculated "Why do I need to reduce in weight" One needs to reduce in weight when overweight or Obesity is diagnosed because they are known to cause serious health implications which includes; cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, type II diabetes, kidney diseases, reduction in work force etc.. ! Some causes of overweight and obesity.
1.Individual lifestyle choices ( alcohol intake high fatty diet etc)

  1. Environmental factors
  2. Lack of exercise or increased physical activities
  3. High intake of refined sugars
  4. Poor nutrition
  5. Lower intake in vegetables n fruits
  6. Genetic factors

High intake of refined sugars

This is actually one of the problems most people face as we are always presented with different refined foods on the market. Most of them do contain close to no nutrients and yet we always go in for them. Accumulating excess fat can really be a fast way to lose one's life. Let us try our best to follow a routine that will prevent us from at all times eating such foods.

Sure, your nutrition should be a big concern to you,but it's unfortunate that we don't really care about it and it the cause of all these chronic diseases and sudden death
