Two people were killed in a shooting during a concert in Las Vegas, Nevada, police said Monday.
Police said they had confronted a man shooting in Las Vegas, while medical sources said at least two people were killed and 24 wounded.
The authorities closed part of the Las Vegas Strip after receiving reports of a gunman still at large.
The officer, Adan Ocampo-Gomez, said troops were heading to the scene near the Mandalay Bay Hotel.
According to Danita Cohen, a spokeswoman for the University Medical Center, the Las Vegas hospital received "several people" with gunshot wounds, while no other information was available.
