Life Lessons on crypto-currency and being organized https://wallet.mynxt.info/

Back in August I decided to throw a few dollars into the coin craze. One of the first coins/tokens I purchased was NXT. I bought maybe $10 worth of them using Changelly and sent them to https://wallet.mynxt.info/ the online wallet viewer for NXT at that time. About a month ago I got an email saying that the wallet was no longer being supported and anyone holding the NXT coin would need to start using alternative sites, or wallets. This was in November and the price for NXT was still under ten cents each, so naturally I did what we all do and said "maybe later". Early November saw the price of NXT shoot up to close to a dollar each. My account was now worth $50 (depending when you checked the price) I decided it was time to move the coins. Not so FAST, I had misplaced/forgotten my MASTER PASSWORD. I have checked every possible place in my house. I think in a fit of rage I deleted the image I had saved to my cloud. This little lesson right one cost me about $50, but I did decide to get serious with backing up and documenting all of my wallets and accounts. NOTE: I purchased 175 NXT at around .50 cents after I realized my other account was orphaned on the blockchain. I can see it, I can view it, but I can't move it. Such is life. The MORAL to this story is take your passwords and accounts very seriously. Back them up, store them safely, make backups of your backups, get tattoos of your pass phrase on your arm, whatever you need to do. Altcoins especially could be worth much, much more in the near future.
