Greeting and Salutations Steemit Universe.
After perusing through the topic of "real estate" on Steemit I couldn't help but notice that most of the real estate professionals from New York were commercial brokers or somehow functioning mainly in commercial space. Nothing wrong with that ! Even though I'm a residential salesperson with "The Corcoran Group" (one of the top brokerages in NYC) I tell people all the time that I feel the real jungle is commercial transactions. It's the Wild Wild West no doubt about it.
For that reason I can understand why there would be a need to simplifiy and streamline commercial transactions with blockchain solutions. I figure that this is the case mainly because a) more money is on the line than in say residential RE and b) innovation and efficiency are highly welcome in that arena.
My concern however is with residential. As someone who has been in NYC residential real estate for about two years I say "let's get the ball rolling". I'm not sure how many individuals have purchased property with Bitcoin or other forms of crypto-currency in the luxury market of New York, but its 2016 and I think it should happen more frequently. Let's make it happen.
From reading some of the posts from the community, I see that many of the participants have made millions with cryptocurrency. Now I would be willing to help broker the first million dollar plus transaction with STEEM in New York, if it hasn't already been done.
It sounds ambitious but why not? I have the contacts to make it happen, we have the community of Steemit geniuses behind us, and I'm sure it'll make the press and get a ton of votes. Anyone in?!
I've heard of a house sale with Bitcoin but don't know if it's a bit early for that kind of transaction in steem. I do hope that one day it will happen
