Being a street musician is rough, talk about suffering for your art. Also, this could just be a means to an end but one thing I've noticed is when they play, they're completely in the zone. Nothing but total concentration. What I wanted to capture here is the grit of it all but at the same time, a culture that is constantly revolving and evolving.
New York is tough, but these guys are tough too. Tougher because they're still playing.
