Oakland, CA - The Oakland Unified School District (OUSD) just issued this press release moments ago, and just three days before the deadline before Oakland teachers voted to strike:
Oakland, CA -- Here is the latest update on Oakland Unified School District's negotiations with our teachers' union, the Oakland Education Association. “Oakland Unified School District is still trying to find a way to settle this labor dispute and avoid a strike in our community. The District hopes the Oakland Education Association is doing the same. The Fact-finding panel members are communicating with one another, and we cannot disclose the confidential nature of those communications at this time.”
The Oakland Education Association voted to strike two weeks ago.
