Hillary: “sadistic nurse in a mental hospital”; Obama: “part-Kenyan"- Meet the UK’s new top diplomat

Boris Johnson is the new Foreign Minister of the United Kingdom, as such he will have to meet with dignitaries from around the world and in particular allies of the UK. Effectively he just became Britain's top diplomat, problem is, the former Mayor of London has, up till now, been anything but diplomatic in his outspoken comments. Here's a select choice of past quotes that will make for interesting icebreakers when meeting allies of the UK in his new role:

1. Barack Obama "part-Kenyan" with "an ancestral dislike" of the UK. Boris' choice words for the outgoing President of the United States, after Obama came out against Brexit during the campaign for the UK to leave the European Union.

2. Not that he will have it any better with the next President: Boris once said Hillary Clinton resembled "a sadistic nurse in a mental hospital" and that "the only reason [he] wouldn't visit some parts of New York is the real risk of meeting Donald Trump".

3. Not only has he managed to piss off his closest transatlantic allies, he's not doing much better with his friends across the Channel either. Here's what he had to say about French President Francois Hollande's country in 2012: "Not since 1789 has there been such a tyranny and terror in France."

4. Further afar things are not looking great either. China is one of the main investors and economic partners the UK has, but good old Boris had this to say about the Chinese back in 2013: "Chinese cultural influence is virtually nil". Nice to say about several thousand year-old civilization.

5. But nothing really surpasses his choice of words for NATO member and close military ally Turkey, whose President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan  he called "a wankerer" and said he had sex with a goat in this tasteful poem:
