The drive around the Shores of Loch Ness is a beautiful one, mountain views, deep dark woodland and hidden waterfalls. Along the east side of the loch is Boleskin House, former home of the English occultist Aleister Crowley ( and later owned by Jimmy Page - Led Zeppelin ). The location has a lot of dark history and before the house was built, there had been a church that had burnt down previously killing many people (and a fire a few years ago too). There is a cemetery located at the front end of the house with a small road between.
We had to climb over fences with barbed wire and through a field to get to the property. It was getting dark so we didn't have long to look around and were also concerned with being fined for trespassing. But never the less we managed to get in to the outside of the home. I must admit the location is gorgeous, the view of the Loch is stunning from the home. The feel of the house was strange and I couldn't bring myself to go around the back. I was far too nervous as it was secluded, it felt heavy. But was still so exciting to be looking around the place and seeing something that has had such dark energy around it.
