Mukumbari: where the sun sleeps

in ocd-resteem •  7 years ago

One of the common pleasures that we have in this community is to travel and to know new places, that of photography among others, today I am going to tell you about some of the trips I have made to the city of Merida, Mérida State, Venezuela. town possesses a lot of tourist sites worth visiting.

This time I could go to Mukumbari Cable Car which means (place where the sun sleeps), it is an experience that leaves you speechless, the walk began visiting the plaza the heroines, located in front of the said cableway, a beautiful square with its fountains and with the monument of fighting women.

This cable car has 5 wonderful stations, the first one is the Barinitas station located at 1,577 meters above sea level, that's where the adventure begins.

From there we left for the second station with the name of La Montaña located at 2,436 meters above sea level, from that height you can see a beautiful view of the city, then we went to the third station called La Aguada which is located at about 3,452 meters above sea level. this height in the particular already began to have a cold, of course my current home is warm weather so it is understandable that shake hands jejeje

When you get to the fourth station named Loma Redonda with about 4,045 meters above sea level, the cold becomes intense and it is when you realize that it really is a preamble of what you have to endure in the last season, hehehe is museum type, the old cabins that were used until little more than 10 years ago

And finally we arrived at the fifth and last station called Pico Espejo with a wonderful 4,765 meters above sea level, with a total traveled and 12,5 km, as you can see there IF I PAY THE COLD, and not me, but my whole family! In this season the temperatures are below the zeroes (0) degrees and you can observe, touch and even play with the snow, in my case I returned a few years ago when I saw in the movies how the children played with snowballs , well I did that day jejeje, in this station is located a statue of the virgin of the snows, I can say that with that cold it is difficult to make good photo shots because the hands wow freeze ... And to end my story I can guarantee that if you visit this modern wonder without a doubt you will leave wanting to visit again
