Alan's Bizarre Adventures -Chapter 1 - Part 8-

After some trial and error, Alan finally manages to drive the cart properly and even avoids falling down every time he uses the brakes. The only thing left to try out was the cord beside the seat.

-Let’s see… this is supposed to manage the pressure and heat of the machinery and… the horn? What the hell is a horn?

As soon as he pulls the cord, the back pipe opens and let a great deal of steam out of it, making a huge whistling sound. Surprised by the noise, Alan fell off the seat once again.

-Dang it… I HATE THIS KETTLE! If i wanted to be bullied in public, all i had to do was call over my dad, not this blasted piece of junk.

Once he got over the scare, and with his pride intact since nobody saw the lame scene, he went back up the seat and pretended none of that ever happened. He prepared to pull the cord once again, and right when he was about to pull it, the scariest noise he ever heard on his life came from the forest deepts.

-By the gods -Alan said sarcastically- who forgot to feed my dad?

Looking around, he quickly realized something was terribly wrong. The whole forest was at full silent, as if every single creature or insect went into hiding after that roar. This was without any doubt a very bad omen.

-Ok… time to pray for that to have been Dr. Harry and his apprentice, otherwise… i’m so dead right now.

It was just a short moment before he saw Rd. Harry running among the trees as if his life depended on it. With a terrified look on his face and without further warning Harry screams at Alan.

-ALAN, QUICKLY START THE ENGINES AND GO AS FAST AS YOU CAN IF YOU WANT TO LIVE!

Almost by instinct, Alan started the engine, and as soon as he felt something onboard he rushed forward at full speed and quickly looks behind to try and see what they were running from. All he could see were two big and intimidating red eyes among the trees looking strait at the cart.

-Professor! What the hell is that? Where’s your apprentice? And please tell me that… Thing… Didn’t ate him.
