Hi my dear Steemians,

After wonderful 2 weeks of holiday over X-mas and New Year time we are finally arrived back home to Scotland, this is our second motherland. Our trip we started yesterday because we take a ferry over night from Amsterdam to Newcastle, it is about 14 hours, but it was intention so that we could sleep over night and with new strength drive further to Scotland. The trip was good and luckily it was not much traffic but as expected it is 2,5-3 C temperature, but dry cold so that is all right.

Therefore, we were not able to do anything in Steemit for last 2 days and of course we hope that you all miss @stef1 very much :)

After our arrival and late lunch I decided to finish one of my drawing from last year, that was left over due to many different things and shortage of time. Of course my drawing is one of Maritime landscape, and you remember that is my favorite subject.

So this afternoon I finished it and would like to post it for your consideration. I called it "Back home" but please don't think that we traveled with this type of ship :)

I mentioned some times before my new pastel paper experiment, this is Mi-Tentes Touch, sanded paper, but I think I will not use it after I finish with the pack as I usually use my finger to blend adn sanded paper you can imagine that after I finish a drawing there are no finger prints on my fingers, the good thing I don't need to travel with plane.

Here are my steps, just few as I have not done many this time.

Das würde ich als Kunstlaie als klassische Malerei bezeichnen!
Beeindruckend, was Du drauf hast...

wow. that is very good. and glad u didn't sail on it too. lol

Your painting of the ship with sails is gorgeous,@stef1 . It is so peaceful and warm and serene in its aura against the calm and relaxing sky. It really embodies the atmosphere of "Back Home" ... You did not just paintball picture. You painted an emotion. And this is not easy. Cheers to your awesome art , @stef1 😊🍷🍷
