Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam

    That's not the best way you can do to build your audience. Quite the opposite. It might be (and as you can see - is - considered as a spam). Try to find users who write content that you like and leave them some meaningful comments. Engage with the community. Taking shortcuts wouldn't work in a long run.
