OCD DAILY - Issue #23
Issue #23 highlights content from eight (8) flourishing Steemit Content Creators! The OCD team on its journey continues to search tirelessly throughout Steemit for undervalued gems as provided by relatively new users.
Today our (20) curators, under our steadfast leader, @acidyo, have delivered eight wonderful pieces of original content to share with you! These works as provided by newer steemit users don’t have the audience in which their content deserves. @OCD strives to provide that audience and to showcase Steemit users that put in the effort to create quality content.
We encourage you to visit these blogs and to show these great Steemians your support and encouragement.
All of the content as chosen by our curators is undervalued, but there is always one piece that rises to the top. That piece is seen as universally appreciated and valued making it OCD’s Top Nomination of the Day.
Today’s top nomination goes to @Suesa as she always finds a personable touch in finding science related pieces that everyone should be made aware of. @Steeminator3000 wants to help you in an ongoing problem most of have or will suffer in our lifetime. Have you ever walked the streets wanting to listen to your favorite song or avoid the unwarranted panhandler? It’s too late as you fumbled with your tangled headphone cable and now have to talk to this person. Believe it or not there it isn’t magic as to why that occurs as it is actually simple math behind it all. Click HERE if you’d like to save your next pair of headphones so you can avoid the unwanted and enjoy your tunes at will.
Our Second Piece as curated by @Anomadsoul: @DerekRichardson has chosen to showcase his time while hiking California’s High Sierra Trail. In most cases photos can’t do nature justice but he somehow pulls off this daring feat. While the photos alone would inspire anyone to take an adventure of their own words accompany his journey as though you are right there. Click HERE if you’d like to see what you’ve been missing out on as nature hikes can really help to put things into perspective.
Our Third Piece as curated by @Cem: @Ekpezu is his introductory posting decided to swing for the swings. A lot of people began seeing the newly minted rich from Bitcoin and figured the bandwagon is big enough for us all. He’s chosen to take us on the journey that is Bitcoin as in the beginning there wasn’t much support. Click HERE if you’d like to actually know what it took for Bitcoin to get where it is instead of following blindly in hopes of winning the lottery.
Our Fourth Piece as curated by @Dorman: @Justincottle poses a question that many people don’t have the answer to. Do you know what makes the world go round? It’s not funny cat videos, memes or even money. It goes much deeper than most would care to believe as there are negative and positive forces at work and we are all but puppets dances to the strings being pulled. Click HERE if you’d like to find out how where the puppetry starts and if you have the chance to make a difference.
Our Fifth Piece as curated by @Clevercreator: @Sasha.shade wants to bring a new form of dueling to the realm that is Steemit known as PS (Photoshop) Tennis. Any great illustrator wants you to know that they have talent and their work should be displayed. Pokemon and YuGiOh are games which one player challenges another and there can only be one victor in the scheme of things. Click HERE to see what happens when you combine the possibility of duels through the use of Photoshop.
Our Sixth Piece as curated by @Jznsamuel: @Fraswa wants to show you how to step up your game as a photog. Whether you’re a hobbyist or a professional every good photographer needs gear. Anyone that aspires to greatness in the field has heard the Leica name, as it is synonymous with capturing the perfect shot. His piece gives a look behind the lens as for what’s possible. The depth of field capabilities alone are worth taking a look, as you won’t be disappointed. Click HERE if you’d like to know what its like to crave the perfect shot and see some amazing pics.
Our Seventh Piece as curated by @Gmuxx: @Elenasteem wants to show her skills as a well-versed magician. She is not the run of the mill magician as we’ve all grown to know and love. Instead, she is a magician in the field of digital paint. At one time or another we’ve all seen people dress up their cats and dogs like children. Yes it was funny the first time but then it just got really weird. At first glance I thought are you kidding me someone has a pet owl and put a beret on it. Click HERE as not only can you see this majestic owl in which she chose to manifest but a video of what it took to get there.
Our Eight and Final Piece as curated by @Chiefmappster: @Rosalina knows that the average tourist will finds themselves lost in more ways than one. Although she can’t cover every major city around the world she wants to help us out with beautiful city of Amsterdam. Like any amazing tour guide she provides everything from the history of the city to the number to phone in case of emergency. Click HERE if you’d like to feel like less of a tourist and more as a person stopping through the next time you go to Amsterdam.
Thanks for stopping by as this concludes today’s OCD Daily. We would like to congratulate the authors nominated as well as those featured.
Hopefully, you were able to take away something different, fresh, and new from the pieces as provided by the @ocd curators.
The OCD team would also like to thank those that strive to make a difference. As anyone can create a posting but only some can create/build value.
Be sure to check for tomorrow’s edition of OCD Daily!
Keep up the good work creating original content
You never know when @ocd may be around :)

I assure you all the photos are real. I personally took every one of them. Hiking in the High Sierra can be like stepping into another world. Sometimes I feel like I'm in a dream when I'm out there, the scenery can be almost unbelievable. Nature can create the most wondrous beauty and the High Sierra is rife with it.

Is it ok to suggest someone else's post here? I would love to see @stevenomole's efforts getting more recognition and reward. I've seen how hard he worked to improve and the many hours of effort he devoted to his latest post and I'm hoping to get the word out a little. There's still some way to go in terms of improving some areas of his grammar etc but still, an excellent contribution amid a sea of one-line posts, empty posts with YouTube videos embedded, copy-pasted plagiarism and more.
I hope you guys will consider this, as you could do so much to up his profile and his follower base, and I feel that this kind of effort and potential talent should be both nurtured and rewarded.
Thanks for taking the time to read that. If you're interested, here's the post I'm referring to:

Thanks for trying to get him more exposure. Unfortunately when @ocd does curation they have to go out and actually find postings themselves. Also they have to fit a particular criteria. One of the criteria is that postings nominated are from members that are usually no more than three months on the platform. Like yourself for instance. If you were to have written a piece and one of our team members saw something in it they could submit it to a group vote and it could potentially make the compilation.

Ok makes sense - I didn't actually look, until now, at his registration date. Thanks for explaining the process. I have been in touch with another blogger here who only joined last month: https://steemit.com/@nitesh9
His last two posts have done really well and much like @stevenomole I have watched him improve his effort and quality immensely.
I'm sure there are literally hundreds more examples like them, but hoping I can do a little something to help @stevenomole and @nitesh9 on their Steemit journeys. They've both shown a willingness to learn, improve and really dedicate themselves to putting out here quality content.
As Steemit gets more and more populated, it's going to get harder for the deserving authors to get noticed. Thanks for your time 🙂

@ocd has members that span most time zones making it easy to say there is always someone from the team searching for good material. The member then finds a piece, submits it to the team and if selected it makes the compilation. The best way to heighten your chances are to publish great content and often. All of the best.
