OCD DAILY - Issue #89

Welcome to the 89th issue of @OCD Daily!

Issue #89 highlights content from ten (10) fantastic Steemit Content Creators! The OCD team on its journey continues to search tirelessly throughout Steemit for undervalued gems as provided by relatively new users.

Today our curators, under our steadfast leader, @acidyo, have delivered ten incredible pieces of original content to share with you! These works as provided by newer Steemit users don’t have the audience which their quality content deserves. @OCD strives to provide that audience and intends to showcase Steemit users who put in tremendous effort to create flourishing content.

The nomination process

A curator will FIND a piece of work (typically from newer users), within 24 hours that piece has been submitted from the curator to the @ocd team, votes tallied and the pieces with the most votes are placed into the compilation.

We encourage you to visit these blogs and to show these great Steemians your support and encouragement.

If you enjoyed their work give them a Follow or maybe even say Hello!

All of the content as chosen by our curators is undervalued, but there is always one piece that rises to the top. That piece is seen as universally appreciated and valued making it OCD’s Top Nomination of the Day.

Today’s top nomination as curated by @jeanpi1908: @armshippie goes to the Morton Arboretum to take some wonderful photos of origami structures. We chose the second of four parts to this mini series, but you should be excited to check out the rest! The place is a real artistic getaway by the looks of things, with all kinds of folded statues, from buffalo to cranes and even paper planes and boats! Have a look, explore around for a while below!

Origami in the Garden Part 2

Our second piece, discovered by @elteamgordo, is a post by @danielterry who has decided to become a witness on Steemit! But first, a trip to Japan! The post takes us to Akihabara for some quintessential sights; giant neon signs, temples within the concrete jungle, absurdly healthy looking cats, cable-heavy backstreets - it's everything you see in anime! It does make me want to visit once and for all. How will it make you feel? Find out below!

Travels from Japan (day2)

Our third piece as curated by @m31: @missaudi is an extraordinary pinup of inked art. Two warriors, wind in hair looking as heroic as you can possibly get. But that's not all, you get to see the three-step process and a super-speed video of how it's done! Missaudi emphasises the fun and encouragement of collaboration and really helps to inspire others, so take a look and see how artistic you feel!

The process of creating comic pinups.

Our fourth piece as curated by @jznsamuel: You know how cloning has an endless supply of ethical dilemmas and philosophical quandaries? Well, @gardenbsquared makes it seem like a casual, every day activity with the cloning of pineapples, basil, mint and more! It really does make me feel like I can just get myself a pot of mud and I'd practically become self-sustainable. To get an infinite supply of pineapples, check out the post now!

Cloning Herbs, growing Pineapples - An Update

Our fifth piece, curated by @gmuxx is a post @derosnec presents in video format, with the transcription below, about the process of writing a song. As a musician myself I can relate to this deeply, though derosnec seems far less stressed out than I always am! The simple explanation and professional, charismatic video feels encouraging, like anybody can do it. So if you're a starving artist in need of inspiration, check it out below and visit the bandcamp and other sites to check out the music!

My Songwriting Process: Part 3 - Recording and Improvising

Our sixth piece, curated by @thethirdeye is an artistic philosophical and historical post by @daydreaming. Have you ever looked at an apple and thought about its deeply complex and profound nature within the human condition? Well no need, because daydreaming has revealed it for you. All over the world across human history, the apple has been represented in a number of symbolic directions; from love and purity, to sickness and opportunity. Check it out below, and you'll never look at an apple the same way again!

The symbol of the apple over the centuries - from the forbidden fruit to the symbol of love

Our seventh piece as curated by @suesa: @mcfarhat asks a question that I think is always on our minds; are viruses a living thing? You'd think this is pretty easy to answer, I mean, does it breath and move on its own? But even defining 'life' is kind of a tricky deal. Viruses are in such a grey area that it can really depend on who you're listening to. See what mcfarhat uncovered about the truth of the matter below!

Are Viruses .. Alive ?

Our eighth piece as curated by @anomadsoul: @the.mini.joys talks about the personal miracle of birth and how it opens your mind to a whole new universe of love. The post is written very personally and you really get to know who this person is, and who they were, and how they became to be the way they are. It's really quite insightful and thought provoking and will make you feel warm and fuzzy inside!

A different kind of love

Our ninth piece as curated by @mk40: @narconaught also dives into the incredibly enjoyment of having your own family, but a few years on. By this point, the kids can go on week trips, and this post shows how much fun that could be, if you let go, let loose and stop swiping around on your phone! Take everything as it comes and you won't regret the time spent with your family when you're old and grey. A great message here you should all read!

Don't Miss It!

Our tenth and final piece as curated by @mobbs: @techmojo has been hard at working introducing the world to all the amusing quirks of technology. But this issue is less about the amusing nature of useless tech, and more about how that uselessness is often built in to things like light bulbs and iPhones, called 'planned obsolescence. Sometimes it's just a shoddy design (like Microsoft), and other times a software update is made specifically to sabotage your out-of-date tech. Incredible. Criminal! Find out what resources you're being forced to waste below!

Thanks for stopping by as this concludes today’s OCD Daily. We would like to congratulate the authors nominated as well as those featured.

Hopefully, you were able to take away something different, fresh, and new from the pieces as provided by the @ocd curators.

The OCD team would also like to thank those that strive to make a difference. As anyone can create a posting but only some can create/build value.

Be sure to check for tomorrow’s edition of OCD Daily!
