Off-highway vehicle enthusiasts in Central Florida will find miles of trails within the 2,600-acre Croom Motorcycle Area (CMA) at Withlacoochee State Forest.
Open seven days a week, CMA offers something for every rider in the family, including a training area and young rider area. Spend the day or try out the Buttgenbach Campground at CMA for longer stays.
For wildlife watchers, Croom is home to a population of white piebald deer (sometimes called the ghost deer). Other wildlife species to look for include wild turkey, bobcat, gopher tortoise, coyote, bald eagle, hawk, falcon, owl, raccoon, Virginia opossum and white-tailed deer.
East of Brooksville, west of Orlando, north of Tampa and south of Ocala, Croom Motorcycle Area is located within the Croom Tract of the Withlacoochee State Forest in Hernando County, Florida.
