Considering Relocating our Creative Agency: An Inside Look Into One of New York City's Nicest Shared Office Spaces

We're thinking about relocating our company from our office on West Broadway, so today we went to visit the Emerge212 office at 1185 Avenue of the Americas. We've been contemplating a move for a number of reasons, but primarily to have a more professional looking work environment that will appeal to bigger clients. We're a small startup, so our WeWork office has been great and flexible for the past two years, but now as we're projecting to grow, hire more people and hopefully get bigger clients our eyes are on the horizon of New York City office space. Emerge212 is one of our clients, so hopefully we'll get a little discount from them!

The office we toured today at 1185 has a great feeling to it. It's very corporate considering the quality of materials and massive marble lobby on Sixth Avenue (Avenue of the Americas) and the furniture is modern and stylish. You can tell that there has been a lot of thought put into the design and the details of every space in the office. There are a lot of cool features like the green wall, modern art pieces and even chairs (seen below) that blast high quality music for those sitting inside that people standing around can't hear.

I think this is probably the right next move for us as a company. It's a little more corporate than I'd like, but I think it'll go along way to create great first impressions with big clients that our current WeWork situation doesn't necessarily do. The minute we got back to our current office, it just felt old and cheap compared to this space.

What do you guys think? Worth the switch?
