Freezing temperatures have returned to the Angelica Valley.
Leaves on all the trees are still green, but the orange glow of the rising, early morning Sun gives the leaves an apparent brown color.
Frost glazes the golf course in the low points not yet breached by the warmth of direct sunlight.
Long shadows cast by the trees still laden with energy factories will soon be barren and dormant, so shadows will thin.
I will certainly miss the warm temperatures of Summer, but I embrace the cold as well. I'd love to go skiing with the guys @docroulston and @summerstime again this Winter, if life permits it.

Cool weather crops will survive this first light frost
Not sure how long they can last in a long duration freeze, however.
Heat spots on the house.
Another good use for the birdcam.. spotting poor insulation spots in your roof or attic.

Always sad to see the first frost of the season the last of the fresh vegetables for the year. The only good thing is you get a fresh start in the spring

Still some leafy greens I may be able to get growing yet. Just a light frost here and there before any deep freeze is forecast.
