Yes, I am trying to step out of my comfort zone, and I am doing that very slowly. May be some day i would like to paint some monsterous things or beings and this could be the start. Its good that i had a lots of practice with the human head.
It still looks a lot like a human head and mostly all the monsters are because you cant imagine something you haven't seen or heard about.
It looks like she has only the sense of smell and touch and hearing. Now that i am posting and writing about this, i feel like i should have done something to the ear.
I tried to use some textures on the skin which is what giving it a little rough look. I turned down the opacity of the texture layer to 8% at the end.
Wouldn't really like the full opacity color. I was hesitating a little about the cloudy shapes on top but thought of just going with it. I kept the eyes very simple if i painted regular eyes then it would look very drab. Also i tried black and that didn't work out well.
