This is my second day of environment study. So far its going well. I still haven't become hopeless and tried to give it up.
The other day i had some practice with painting rocks. Painting mountains is almost similar to that. Except if you have weird stuff stuffed on the mountain, like snow or grass. I watched a few tutorials before and just tried to create something with that.
They all look kind of alike except for the elements on them.
I painted four different kind of mountains. An ice mountain, looks like is made of completely frozen ice. A mountain with grass on it. A mountain with snow on it and a simple rocky mountain.
Even though the ice mountain looks a bit flat it actually looks better comparing to the others. I used some textured brush at the end and the result was amazing. Although i tried to use those textured brush on the other mountains but they did not came out that good. Grass is supposed have a lots of textures and the snowy mountain is supposed to be edgy and smooth.
May be they look good when looked from afar but when zoomed in you can see those individual brush strokes.
I should try and draw a few different paintings of each kind of these mountains. May be that would help.
