I thought i wouldn't be able to post anything today because i didn't paint anything last night, because i just wasn't feeling it. But in the morning i felt good, so i decided to start painting.
I painted for about two hours before lunch and a few hours after. It's almost evening now, so i had to hurry to finish the painting. Because 20 minutes before the sun sets, i have to go for a walk.
When i decided to paint this portrait, I didn't actually thought that i was going to finish it or post it. I thought this would be just one of those practice that i don't even save.
After the sketch turned out pretty good, I decided to give it a real try. There wasn't a lots of shading opportunities but getting the proper skin color was kinda hard. But i think i got pretty close.

I directly started with the facial feature's sketch. I didn't do the proportions part. That's why i was a bit afraid that the face would look weird. I am glad that it does not.
Later though, i had to fix up some of the line work with the transform tool.
I took a few layers to separate all the different things. the skins, the bat, hair, hat and the cloths. At first i started shading the face then the bat. then again back to the face for the lips and eyes and nose.
I had to spend some time figuring out some layer modes for the proper color for the skin tone.
