Digital painting

This is the third portrait in this new style. I love this one more than the other two because it looks so real. I showed my sister all three of this new styled drawing and she said this one looks better.
I uploaded the wip of eye for this one on appics a few days ago. Now its ready to be published.

Let me know your thoughts about this. if you are an artist viewing this, let me know how i can improve and what could i have done to make it better

Used Reference Image for structure and style.

Process shots and description:
Just like the previous portrait, I took the exact same sized canvas as the reference photo, it was important. Since i am not painting the whole face i need to be careful while drawing facial features. when i draw whole face i have the round structure to put the facial features in, but in this case I short of had to go in completely blind. So taking the same sized canvas was very important. I took the reference photo in my phone and hold it right by the side of where i am painting.

I start with rough sketch to define the exact placement of the facial features.

Then i make a little more detailed line art on top of it.

I fill in the whole canvas with colors and get to shading. There's not really much to explain here. you can see the entire thing from the screenshots.
