Hikone Castle is one of only five castles in Japan listed as a national treasure, and is considered one of the greatest castles in the world. I visited Hikoni Castle in October, so the cherry blossoms were not in season. But for this SundayPurple challenge, I imagine it in late March when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom.

This image is almost entirely made with tints of purple, except for the blue sky. The cherry blossoms are just a small part of the image here. But it is such a celebrated event in Japan that I liked using this color palette for the image.
