North Korean Official Delegation Includes 229 Cheerleaders

Or better said the cheering group. The girls, yes, there are no boys in this group, arrived with a bus convoy.

Did anybody say that Olympics are about sports? Oh yes, and then you wake up.

Olympics are from day one onwards about business, politics and free traveling for IOC officials. Including generous daily allowances.

Top sports -> top business -> top corruption. We don't need professional sport in any form! Politicians need it to control the masses. Corrupts need it to fill their pockets.

Olympics are a farce. An ultimate display of greed.

Enough said!

What about all the athletes who dedicate their lives to bring the best. Many do this without much funding. Sport brings people together to appreciate what humans can do and it should include all nations. Given the political situation in Korea any participation by the North could be a good thing.

Of course its commercial, but so is almost everything these days. The money in some sports is just crazy, but people will pay for it

I am not against sports. I am against commercialized sports. Sports is used (and abused) for politics and profit. Which is the same in the end.

World would be a better place without commercialized sports.

Maybe, but it's a living for some people. It can still rise above politics and commerce IMHO

I know that not all sports are created equal and that not all athletes are obscenely overpaid.

It is like with artists (culture and arts), only on a bigger scale.

Eh, this could be a long debate. This area of human creativity is blown out of any sane proportion. Like many areas in our society.

Sport and art can get corrupted by money, hence the drug cheats, but they are powerful parts of our culture. I don't support professional soccer or some other sports, but I had a great time at the London Olympics and Paralympics.

Nice one dear.

woow a very beautiful lady like your post
