SPORTS AND NEW DISCIPLINES
Buenos Aires 2018 will be the scene of 32 sports and 36 disciplines. It will mark the debut of karate, sport climbing, breaking, speed skating on wheels, futsal, kiteboarding, beach handball and BMX Freestyle. Sports will be athletics, badminton, 3 × 3 basketball, beach volleyball, boxing, boating, cycling (BMX racing, freestyle BMX and a combined event that will include cycling and mountain biking), equestrian, fencing, gymnastics (artistic, rhythmic, trampoline and acrobatic), golf, hockey 5, judo, weightlifting, Olympic wrestling, swimming, modern pentathlon, rowing, rugby sevens, ornamental jumps, taekwondo, tennis, table tennis, archery, sports shooting, triathlon, sailing (windsurfer, kiteboarding and nacra 15).
