Their stories are real in contrast to the fake snow that has been set on the venues of this year’s Winter Olympics. Ian Honey, managed and supervised the installation of snow making system at Jeongseon Alpine Centre. She made this ‘carpet of snow’ possible which in many venues looks like 100 % real snow. This snow carpet is stealing the eyes of the visitors this Winter Olympics games.

“It’s at least 98% manmade snow,” said Honey, project manager for Snow Making Inc., a company in Midland, Mich. The natural snow might be great for snow ball fights but not at all conducive for such a big competition. This artificial snow is much durable and contestants are quiet ok with its density and performance.

See the technology, when the athletes arrived, there was less than an inch of snow covered on the ground but when the game began, the venue was packed with thick white snow. Thanks to those 120 snow guns that speed up the whole process and the team who woke up at 4 in the morning to monitor it in strong winds.
