What is OmiseGO coin? Omise is Japasense for “Store”

Omise GO is a payments company what was founded in 2013 and they offer payment services for businesses in Singapore and neighboring Asia-Pacific countries.
OmsieGO made headlines in Forbes as a Fintech Rockstar which is pretty notable to say the least.

Omise GO closed $25 million in 2017 during an ICO, also buying out a company called Paysbuy the same year, another online payment company which included a digital wallet used by businesses and consumers in Thailand.

Vitalik Buterin the founder of Ethereum and Joseph Poon the co-creator of the Lighting Network are also apart of the OmiseGO coin built on the existing Plasma scaling smart contracts.All in all OmiseGo is a crypto wallet and payment platform for Asia Pacific countries. Now I don’t fully understand why the people will decide to use OmiseGo over options like Bitcoin but maybe its because businesses across their region already accept OmiseGo and have it integrated.

The OMG will soon have its own blockchain and will enable users to manage fiat tokens, cryptocurrencies and come with other features such as loyalty points, mobile banking, and digital gift cards. OmsieGO has offices in Bangkok, Thailand, Tokyo, Japan, and several countries so I don’t think they will be going anywhere anytime soon.
