Oswego Town Continues Its Work on Updating Comprehensive Plan

OSWEGO – The Town of Oswego has begun the official update of its Comprehensive Plan.

As part of this process, the town of Oswego has given its Planning Board the responsibility of overseeing the updates.

The Town Planning Board and staff from the Oswego County Department of Community Development, Tourism and Planning are working with the town of Oswego to provide the community a comprehensive plan that includes recent and relevant data, reflects the town’s unique assets, and is consistent with NYS Comprehensive Plan requirements.

The Town Planning Committee received the demographic and historic resources sections at its Nov. 20 meeting.

The committee will discuss the parks and recreation section at its next meeting at 7 p.m. Dec. 18, at the Oswego Town Hall, 2320 County Route 7, Oswego.

All interested persons are invited to attend.

“The town of Oswego’s Planning Committee is interested in engaging the community and has adopted a year-long process that includes providing topical information monthly for discussion,” said Planning Committee chairwoman Judy Sabin Watson.
