As per Omise Airdrop update 2 on Aug 23 [1], Airdrop will activate on Sep 4. This will result in 450,000 ETH address holders (as of July 7) receiving OMG tokens. The amount of OMG received by each ETH holder will itself be tiny, approximately 0.075 OMG per ETH [2] i.e. ~15 OMG token for every 200 ETH. The ETH investor community is currently much larger than the OMG investor community. Just to give an idea, the current size of the Ethereum subreddit is over 100k subscribers whereas Omisego subreddit has just over 8k subscribers. A lot of the Ethereum investors who are using wallets such as Jaxx, Exodus, etc will be curious/surprised seeing small amounts of OMG tokens appearing in their wallets on Sep 4 onwards, which will build more community interest in OMG likely driving the price higher.
The key thing to note here is that even though there shall be potential increase in number of traded tokens as they are distributed to ETH holders, but the number is small relative to the amount of investor curiosity and subsequent interest that will be generated in OMG, post Airdrop activation, will potentially drive the price higher.
