Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that one lakh Rohingyas will soon be shifted from Teznagar refuge camp to Bhasanchar. He said there they get a better environment to stay there.
On Wednesday morning, the UN's Under Secretary General and UNFPA Executive Director Natalia Kanem said this when she met the Prime Minister at her office.The Prime Minister told the UNFPA official that the government provided shelter from displaced Rohingya humanitarian point of view. Because the people of Bangladesh also have the experience of becoming such refugees.
He said the local people had all kinds of cooperation with Rohingya. The people have all-round support for sheltering the RohingyaPrime Minister's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told reporters that in the meeting, they discussed issues related to different bilateral interests, especially women development and expelled from Myanmar, to the Rohingya who took shelter in Bangladesh.
Sheikh Hasina said that although the government has continued its efforts to make their position comfortable, Rohingyas are very inhuman to the asylum centers.She said that at least 60 children are being born every day and their untimely sufferings are due to rainy season.
Natalia lauded the role of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for providing shelter to Rohingyas and the outstanding success of Bangladesh in women empowerment.During this time, he assured the Prime Minister of continuing to cooperate with the UN agencies.
