Why then am I here?
What is the meaning of life?
I am here to love.
I started seriously spiritually seeking at around age ten. So I've been at this game for a while now.
And in all the courses and meditations and journalings and revelations and insights and whisperings in my ear, one thing became clear early on, and has gained in strength increasingly over time - I am here on earth in order to love and be loved.
And, more specifically, I am here in experience the Oneness that encompasses the All.
As a long time fan of jazz, this song has always put it into perspective for me, and even more to the point, I can easily and with great sincerity and love dedicate it to every man who has ever held a place of importance in my life, including the infants.
Here is one of the most classic versions, by the inimitable Nat King Cole, whom I absolutely loved as a kid, and which was likely one of the first versions of the song I heard, if not the first.
Than again, having come of age in the 70s, and being also a huge fan of George Benson, I always loved his version just as much, although it is entirely different. Soul funk indeed.
Every soul's journey is different, but in the end, regardless of the meanderings along our own soul's hero journey, nearly all the lessons can be distilled down to the one truth: Love is the single most powerful force in the Universe, and the end game of this life is to realize our Oneness with All That Is, and to live it fully.
Short, sweet and to the point: Love is All. The rest is just backstory.
Be blessed, always, and in everything you do.
And love. With all your heart and soul.

Oh yeah Nature Boy by George Benson is just wonderful.
If I can become by the end of my lifetime half of the musician and singer that George was I would be happy>
