The conflict and its effects in many countries around the world - almost one lakh children die every year due to lack of starvation and healthcare. In the worst affected countries, 5,50,000 children lost their lives between 2013 and 2017. The 'Save the Children International' (SCI) institution says that during the conflict, hospitals etc are also damaged. In this case, children do not get the necessary medical care. Apart from this, thousands of children die from starvation.

SCI said in its report that it is also a big problem for children to be involved in terrorist organizations, kidnapping or sexual abuse in war-torn countries. The organization has also released a list of the most affected countries from the war. These include Afghanistan, Congo, Iraq, Mali, Nigeria, Somalia, South Sudan, Syria, Yemen and Central African Republicans. SCI says that one in five children is living in unstable areas. This is the highest in the last two decades. In 2017 about 42 million children were living in those areas. It is 18 percent of children worldwide. In 2017, the number of them increased by 3 million compared to 2016.

According to the SCI, the number of children injured and wounded in the war has increased threefold. Helal Thoring-Schmidt, the CEO of the organization, said, "It is shameful that in the 21st century we are going backwards and have lost our morals. Attack on children and common citizens is cowardly.
