I just started watching Castlevania on Netflix, and I'm on the episode where Alucard was revealed. He is just so handsome <3 I made a painting of him a while ago and just finished rendering the video process at this moment.
I decided to paint it in a less lively vibe and old painterly way. Since I'm not still fully introduced into his character, I can't wait how my view of him will eventually grow.
Also, since I always forgot to save clear step process, I just rolled my obs studio and do the work for me hahahaha

For me, it is the end result that matters. 😊 You did great with this painting! I am not sure of the role of your model in the movie but the painting tells me of a very strong character eith the fierce eyes and lips. Well done!

Wow! That looks like so much work! All those tiny strokes and layers of different colors. It looks like a lot of time was spent on face and his hair. How long did it take you to draw him? Honestly, I do not have netflix, so I don't know the series but I can say that he looks very good :)

I finish watching your video and I was shocked by how you started from scratch, just like an impressionist painting pure stains have made emerge the face and other elements of this clean work.
I played castlevania for a while but I didn't get used to the plot, I was kind of confused by those years or maybe the rebelliousness and depression typical of teenagers.
If the video is 9 minutes long, how long did you actually take to make this piece?

I was going to ask if I was weird for enjoying the sight of a few bobs of colour turning into awesomeness, but I guess I'm not the only one judging by the curie :D
I can step my process easily enough by just turning off layers because of the cheaty way in which I work. OBS is definitely easier than stopping for screenies for the way you work :D

Incredible process @adelair! I am always amazed with the skill of Photoshop artists. It's truly an incredible talent to be able to start with a completely blank digital page and come up with what you've created. I wish I had your talent! I always start with something like a subject or a piece of video or a photograph and turn that into something else. The act of starting from nothing and ending up with something beautiful is amazing to me.
Castlevania is vampire related, correct? I get a very clear "Interview With a Vampire" feel and I love it. It's an amazing digital creation. Thank you so much for sharing! It's so satisfying watching that sped up process from nothing to something. Cheers!

It is nice to hear those words! having created something from blank is really hard but as long as you have a vision in mind of what you want to paint, it won't be too difficult :) so more likely, i already drafted it in my brain. But yeah if there is no initial plans it's hard to work on blank canvass :) I'd love to see your works too.

I'm sure I could find some of the old paintings or drawings I did in college. I know for a fact my Mom has one hanging in her house somewhere hahaha although these days I'm more proud of my photography and videography than my drawings.
But that's what I love about what you, or other artists, do on the regular. You get that picture in your head and then draw or paint it out. I'm not sure I can do that or I haven't take the time to develop it as a skill. My talent is best applied when I have something to build a new thing from.
So I applaud you in being able to do those things! It's admirable.
