Hello!!

I drank some Kilkenny today.

Camera body: Canon EOS 550D
Lens: Sigma ART 50mm ƒ/1.4
Aperture: ƒ/2.5
Exposure: 1/100 s
ISO: Dual-ISO 100+200

The car was at repairs for the fourth time. It was kind of a drag though. Yesterday I got a call from the shop, saying the rental replacement car had been in a crash, and I wouldn't be getting one since all their remaining rental cars were reserved for Friday.

So I didn't have a car today. After walking home I spent the day finishing the book I started Yesterday.

Now, concerning the photo. I'm not too satisfied with it. I feel like I need a real studio. The washer top in our bathroom just doesn't seem to cut it anymore. ;)

@gamer00,
Wow never tasted it before! Is that good? 4.3% Alco, sounds good! I hate to get more Alco, for me the best 4%-5% :D
Excellent photography too Jaro!

Cheers~

Yea I don't care about the percentages though, if a beer tastes good, it doesn't even matter if it's non-alcoholic.

Excellent photography too Jaro!

Thank you! :)

Yes, I don't really care about the alcohol content of beer per se, either. Some styles require a higher alcohol content than others. Others are supposed to have a lower content. Some can you can ruin with too much alcohol.

For me personally, the photo looks pretty good

The washer top in our bathroom just doesn't seem to cut it anymore. ;)

Lol
I had days wondering , how could you take pictures with those white backgrounds?
Mystery solved
:P

Although it is possible that you need a small professional studio in the house :D

Btw It's the first photo I've seen where i can see that you are reflected in the glass ;)

Yep the reflection is something to try to avoid. I really should have a black wall behind the camera and something to hide myself behind when shooting these kinds of images.

I did not know that a black wall was used, I was curious about how you could avoid the reflection, but you already answered me :)

Yes, a black wall would be good for these photos, because the glass is practically a mirror

Thanks for taking the time to answer me: D

As for the drink I can not comment, haha although you do not believe it I do not drink any type of alcoholic beverage, it is not for any religion or something similar; I simply do not like it hehe, but good for you I hope you enjoyed it, well I finish the book.
In my classes I always tell the students, that unfortunately the culture of reading is not cultivated in my country, it's sad, and my Ten-year-old daughter has several books and the seven-year-old also loves it, but that's in one as a father .
I did not understand the comment of the washing machine haha .. with respect to the photo I like it and it looks a bit like the reflection of you in the glass ..

You can easily afford your own studio with your earnings.
You're already very serious with your 365 challenge, it's about time to try to raise the stakes!

So what do you do if you don't have a car? Uber or a taxi cab?
Never seen a red beer before.

I usually walk or take the bus. If I'm in a hurry I order a taxi, but that's rare.

I also used to drive a cab myself almost two decades ago.

You have come a long way from driving a cab to being a financially independent crypto investor. Thats amazing.

Kilkenny Irish Red Ale

I like the colour of the beer. I havent tasted a beer with red colour before. I am used to dark, brown, green colour of beer. Those are the common types I see.

I have never drank a beer , am I normal ?

Me neither (I'm 18). I just went to a party with all my class mates and almost everyone else was drinking but me. I only drank one cup of warm juice in a sauna (löylykauhallisen vaapukkamehua). I can survive without a beer at the moment so I won't drink one.

Yeah I have the same idea I won't drink a beer its not good for the health and second thing its forbbiden in our religion .

Your own studio might be a good idea. If I had one I would get more shit done because it would give me motivation but I don't know about you. You should at least get one light or just a flash in front of the object because it looks a bit dark (in my opinion)

Yea, you are right, I might need to invest in a second flash.

Wow!!! This looks more like wine. We don't have red beer in Nigeria. It's either beer or red wine. Nice brand!

Never tasted or heard of this beer before. Not in my country. But looking forward to have a taste someday.
I hope your car get fixed soonest

The photo is not bad but there is always room for improvement. I did some research online and kept looking into Kilkenny Irish Red photos. I'm not a professional but this angle looks perfect:

The color is great!

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Yes, the angle is nice, but there's some room for improvement. The glass is tipping over and the beer will spill as it isn't level.

The glass is tipping over and the beer will spill as it isn't level.

Now, that would be a pity, wouldn't it.

That's a professional viewpoint so I submit to it.

Am a spiritual thinking person and not take beer or wine .

What's wrong? Beer has plenty of spirit.

This is actually very good photography. The pictures make me want to grab the glass and empty it.

@gamer00 - Sir I think it's the first time I see you are sharing a photography of a beer... It's an outstanding photography Sir... Like a beer advertisement :)

+W+

That looks yummy.. is it just me or does it look like that there is a storm trooper helmet kinda thingy in your glass? :p just saying though. Amazing capture. 2 thumbs up..

I love when the beer has the red colour.
I hope Kilkenny is not too bitter :d

If you intend to do photography more seriously it's probably not a bad idea to try it in the studio, hmmm.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

It's not bitter at all, it's actually very smooth beer, much like Guinness itself.

I'd love a studio.

Oh yeah, very smooth beer with deep red colour is my sht.
I don't drink often but will probably make an exception for something like that.
You can try to rent a studio as an experiment :d

You can try to rent a studio as an experiment

Compelling, really... I wonder how much they cost.

If it were me I would go to couple studios with professional photographers and paid them money to get information and learn everything I need.
Also, you can try doing people photo sessions (New challenge!?).
For example, in my Saint-Petersburg, there are infinite ladies who will sell the soul just to make some good photos for social media.

I think you should have a mini-studio. Since you are enjoying posting on the one photo everyday challenge, you should have one. That would be a good investment and you could explore something else when you have that studio or mini-studio.

This is a can. Is this beer? Ohh yeah...My favorite choice beer.... How about alcohol percentage? Looks like a smooth one. Irish Branded.

I think it was 4,3%. Not totally sure though.

if 4.3% not enough me. Ha ha... I want over 8% lol.
Do you like it?

I don't generally watch the percentages. When I drink beer, I don't drink alcohol, I drink the taste. :)

Very smooth.

I want to read that book man, about the photo i think is great because i swallowed when I saw it. Regards

I'm also curious about the book, I hope he will tell more about it.
This Beer is definitely worth a try, Maybe I might find it in my place.

It does match the can!

I like how I can see your reflection in the glass. And I’d have bever guessed where you did the photo if you haven’t written it was in the bathroom.. I guess it is good for photography as well not just for music. :P

Oh I missed the reflection in the glass, my eyes are too old for that stuff.
Also, bathroom mirrors are great for selfies showing men gorgeous muscles!

Well after a day like that, you deserved a cold one, I also had a crappy day, about the pic I am looking interesting the format that you are giving to the frame, the background totally white and illuminated, the inspiration will come back when you least expect it.

Is it that good, this beer,i ven ever tasted it in my life

It's very smooth I can tell you that.

wow amazing shot friend, the cane along with glass and white background looks like an advert of the company, great work and thanks for sharing

If you could walk all the way home, it means you are really fit and healthy!
Your photo looks perfect to me! I cannot see anything wrong with it. Or should I get a new pair of glasses?
You should be able to build your own studio if you have enough space at home.
Good luck with your studio project.

Cheers.

Am don't drink wine or beer , it's not good for health .

I haven't seen the studies that say a bottle of beer or a glass of wine every now and then is bad for health. I have however seen some studies indicating they have some health benefits if taken in moderate doses.

And on the other hand, everything is bad for health if you intake large quantities of said stuff. Even water can kill you if you drink too much of it.

The background you selected has reflected the light, and made the picture a little more bright
Is this your idea?

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Yes, overexposing some areas of the photo will make good lighting in some cases. Not my own idea though.

Most like my favorite Irish Red Ale...Are celebrate now for what's reason?Beer gives me best feelings. Just excellent shot.

Never had tasted that but the pic is looking so beautiful.

Thank you and Have a great day.

It sure will workout buddy !I do hope it tasted great by the way!

Haelth for Harmful beer.
